Validating Forms in MS Word
Hi - I am trying to create a form that users can download, work on, save, and
come back to, but also has a certain level of validation to as well. One of the problems I have not figured out is, how can I do validation to see if more than one checkbox is checked if for instance the question asks the user to select one of three options. I would like to have an error pop up if the user selects more than one checkbox. Also just want to do minor validation to make sure that certain text form fields are filled in and not left blank - the contents aren't nessecarily important to be validated, but not being left blank is something i would like to check for possibly when the user goes to save the document. Ideally I would like to insert some kind of validate button of sorts a-la adobe acrobat to validate for the whole form when the user is done. Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. |

Validating Forms in MS Word
-- What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles. One of the links you'll find is an article on creating mutually exclusive checkboxes.
