Default Merge to separate docs

I need to a mail merge that creates an individual Word doc for each
merge record rather than the single document created w/ the 'Merge to
New Document Option'.

Obviously it needs to create unique file names. Ideally I could
define the file names using a field from the merge.

I don't imagine this can be done during the actual merge so some kind
of macro that can create a unique file from the section breaks in the
single file would be great.

Extra Info:
The reaso I need this is because I am using the "catalogue merge"
macro to automatically add attachments to an email merge, thus I need
the individual files.

I am using Word 2000

Thanks

The work has all been done for you.

See the "Individual Merge Letters" item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website
at:

http://www.gmayor.com/individual_merge_letters.htm

If you are using Word XP or later, the "Add-in to Merge Letters to Separate
Files" that I have written and that can be downloaded from that site will
allow you to create each letter as a separate file with a filename taken
from a field in the data source with a minimum of fuss.

and

See the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...ttachments.htm
