Default "Customize" and "Find" do not work

I use Word 2002 on WinXP Home.

There are two problems with my Word:

1) Tools Options. The "Customize" option is greyed out.

2) Edit Find does not launch the "Find" dialog (CTRL-F does not work
either. The title bar changes to the inactive colour, so something is
happening. The dialog is not hidden behind the main window.

Saving and re-opening does not help.

Sorry. "Find" works. It was being displayed on a second monitor, which was
switched off

"Customize" does not work.
