unwanted paragraph borders
I'm using a bottom border as a full-width underline for 5 section headings in
a document (a resume), as an ordinary underline crosses dropped capitals & so looks bad. This works fine until I print, then the "paragraph" immediately following such a heading also prints with such a bottom border, except it's thinner & inconsistently applied. These also don't show in either Print Layout or Print Preview, although they sometimes show in Layout at very specific zooms (114% & 147%). This originally occured for all 5 instances, but by copying & editing a correctly printing heading I've managed to "fix" this for some but not for all 5 instances simultaneously, & not consistently the same ones. The identified "style" is same for all 5 headings, & the "style" for the following "paragraph" in each case where it prints with the unwanted border doesn't specify any border format at all. It's driving me nuts, & preventing me from getting a job! (Proficiency with Word is among the requirements for the type of work I do.) Using Word 2002, but have printed from Word 97 & 2003 with same results except for the inconsistent application mentioned above. Would appreciate any suggestions. |
