Why will figure captions not number correctly?
My figure captions are not numbering correctly in a Word 2002 document. I am
using chapter numbers with the figure caption numbers which seems to be working okay. However, midway through my document the figure captions revert to number one again (e.g., 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-1, 4-1 . . .). I have tried updating the captions and pasting the graphics into a new document, but this has not helped. The figure captions continue to misnumber. What am I doing wrong, or is my original document/figures corrupt? |
