I accidentally deleted Word after downloading then uninstalling a trial
version of Office.
I can not find my XP cd anywhere, is there an alternative way of getting
hold of Word, bar ordering a new cd.

No, there isn't. You need that CD.

Word is not on the XP CD. It will be on the Office or Works or
even a Word CD. That's the one you need.
Word is not part o XP; it's separate.

I suspect that he means the Office XP CD (which is the officail name for
Office 2002, apparently because computers weren't already confusing enough).
And no, without that CD, Aaron is basically stuck.
