Location of Data Sources
You can only change the data source folder to a sub folder of your My
Documents folder. It is not possible to change it to any other folder. The data is held in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\C ommon\DataServices The best workarounds are to use the Places toolbar http://www.gmayor.com/customize_the_word_places_bar.htm or to put a shortcut to your data folder in the Data Sources folder. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Newuser wrote: The default location for the Data Source in Word 2003 is in the My Documents \ My Data Sources.
