word should allow me to incidate a location for file backup.
The default locations for backup files ('.wbk') created are in the same
location the file was opened. In most users cases, they have a large number of subfolders (or different network drives) where they work with their documents on a daily basis. It would be beneficial if the user could specify a central location for the backup files to be saved through the Tools, Option, 'File Location' selection (similar to template). This would also facilitate a service desk person to help restore damaged files. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. For the reasons why *.wbk files must be stored in the same folder, see
