Sorry j, the idea here is to provide as *much* - not as *little* -
meaningful information as possible

Further, There is no such thing as "office xp 07".

Identify what version of Word, what version of Windows, and how you are
going about adding the pictures as well as exactly what the result is. I'm
sure someone will be glad to five you a hand.

Word version: Word 2007
Windows version: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Method: Using "Insert" tab / clicking "Attach File" icon
Result: "Microsoft Office Outlook" box with error note of -- "Microsoft
Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." Then Office Outllook 2007 restarts.

Then it would appear that the problem is with Outlook, not with Word - and
seems to have no correlation to the issue as originally posted. Inserting
pictures in a Word document has nothing to do with attaching a file to an
email message, and Word's Ribbon - Insert Tab has no "Attach File" icon.

The following link will provide a listing of Outlook newsgroups:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...tOverview.mspx

I'd suggest either the General Questions or Install & Configure group as the
place to start.

Good Luck |:)
