wrote: How do I create a barcode in Microsoft word? What kind of barcode? There are dozens. The only kind Word can make without a special font or third-party software is a US Postal Service POSTNET barcode, which is now obsolete (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897290). If you really must insert one anyway, use the Insert Field dialog (in Word 2007, Insert Quick Parts Field) to insert a BarCode field, which can contain the zip code itself or the name of a bookmark that covers the zip code. For any other kind of barcode, visit the BarCode1 web site, http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/share.html. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Yes MS Word only support postnet barcode, if you want to create other linear or 2d barcodes in Word document, you can download some barcode add-ins to have a try~
Here's some: http://www.onbarcode.com/word_barcode/ http://www.keepautomation.com/products/word_barcode/ and there's also idautomation office stuff, see for yourself~ Good luck~ |

First of all, you should download a Word barcode plugin, then close all your Word documents to install this plugin in your Microsoft Word document. Now, you can create the barcode you want in your Word document. For more details, please refer to this Word barcode generation tutorial.
