Default Numbering equations, figures, titles etc.

I face difficulties while numbering equations figures etc. For example, i
write mathematical equations with equation editor and i need to number it
like (2.23) and place it at the right end side of the page. But i couldn't
be succesfull. It should be placed at the right position automatically and
numbers must be automatically increment. Similar thing is also valid for
other objects like figures, captions etc. I'm confused, please help me.

Type "numbered equations" "microsoft word" into a Google search
window, or click on this link:

http://www.google.com/search?num=30&...ord%22&spell=1

We have an article on our web site titled "Equation Editor Tips & Tricks".
Tips #4 and #5 show how to insert numbered equations that are properly
sequenced, with numbers that increment.

It's OK, Stan. The company Design Science makes the product MathType,
and the two URLs are aliases for the same page on the same site.
