Default read only and finding product key

i just purchased a new lap top... when i first opened word 2007 it asked to
enter a product key.. i did not get any paperwork or cd or anything of that
sort with that information on it.. where can i find that? also.. every time
i open word now it is in read only format and i have no clue how to get out
of that.

someone please help!!

The Office 2007 on your new laptop will undoubtedly be a trial version. You
will need to activate it from the Office Button Word Options Resources.
When the trial expires, Word acts as a viewer until you buy the program (buy
the discs from a reseller).
