Default word tables

I use word tables to make notes for my history dissertation. Normally three
columns, key word, page no, notes. This means I have very big tables. Every
so often gaps appear in these tables. Frequently between the start of the
table and normal text. Sometimes between individual rows on the table. It is
as if suddenly the copy will not flow over the page within a row, but insists
on the whole row being on the same page. I don't know why or how to get rid
of it. Any ideas?

Jay's answer looks as if it may work. The problem discussed seems to appear
spontaneously, one moment the paragraphs are breaking so that they flow over
pages in tables and then suddenly a row will refuse to break but insists on
being all on one page. I will have to wait until that happens to see if Jay's
solution works. But many thanks anyway.

Badger.
