how do I insert a different page numbers for various sections
I need to insert separate page numbers within my document. the document is
separated into different sections.I want the section numbers to be listed as A-1, etc. for section A. B-1, etc. for section B, and so on. How do I do this? |

One way:
With the "Footer" displayed, make sure "Same as Previous" is not selected. Insert your page numbers, then format them as desired for each section. You can also force each section to start at 1, rather than continuing from the previous section, by selecting "Format Page Numbers" (the little icon that looks like a hand holding page numbers) and setting them to start at 1.
