Common tasks like Save and Undo have suddenly disappeared from my MS Word
Toolbar. How do I get them back? The Standard toolbar has NOT been shut off.
"Save" has simply disappeared from the "File" drop-down menu and "Undo" has
completely disappeared from the "Edit" drop-down menu.

Go to Tools, Customize, on the Toolbars tab, select Menu Bar, then click Reset.

This is a new question, posted as a reply as no window is given when I select
"New Question" from the menu. Apologies to Kathy17 if you receive this notice
unnecessarily.

Question: "Customize" has disappeared from my "Tools" menu. How can I get it

Assuming you don't just have adaptive menus enabled, see
