Default How do I circle numbers in Word?

I am trying to circle numbers in Word, but I don't see a symbol that I can
chose. Does anyone know how to do this? It's not a drawing, it's a circle.

Thumbs up Answer: How do I circle numbers in Word?

Yes, you can easily circle numbers in Word using the "Enclose Characters" feature. Here's how:
  1. Open your Word document and select the number you want to circle.
  2. Go to the "Insert" tab and click on "Symbol" in the "Symbols" section.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select "More Symbols."
  4. In the "Symbol" dialog box, select "Enclosed Alphanumerics" from the "Subset" drop-down menu.
  5. Scroll down until you find the circled number you want to use and click on it.
  6. Click on the "Insert" button to add the circled number to your document.

Alternatively, you can use the "Equation" feature in Word to create a circle around your number. Here's how:
  1. Go to the "Insert" tab and click on "Equation" in the "Symbols" section.
  2. In the "Equation" drop-down menu, select "New Equation."
  3. In the "Equation Tools" tab, click on the "Accent" button in the "Structures" section.
  4. Select the circle symbol from the drop-down menu.
  5. Type in the number you want to circle inside the circle symbol.
  6. Click outside of the equation box to exit the "Equation" feature.

That's it! You should now have a circled number in your Word document.

Use the Symbol dialog box. Unicode fonts, such as Arial Unicode MS, have the
largest collections of "circled" numbers.

Here's how to display the Symbol dialog box:

- Insert tab | Symbol | More Symbols (Word 2007).
- Insert | Symbol (Word 97-2003).
