Default Lines Are in the header space

Whenever I open up a document, even a blank one, there are two "right-angle"
lines that show up all the time, at the left and right margins, in the header
space. How do I get rid of these. They have never been there before.

"Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you
open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003"
