Is there a way to display the full path to a document on the titlebar or
somewhere else on the document so this is easily obtainable?

You need an autoopen macro containing the following line

ActiveWindow.Caption = ActiveDocument.FullName

ViewHeader & Footer then from the header/footer toolbar select Insert
AutoText and there is an option of 'Filename and Path'
