Default drop-down field won't drop down

A drop-down field in a form template doesn't drop down, but just displays the
first enry for the field.
Any help woul be greatly appreciated!

After inserting the dropdown, did you protect the document for forms?
Use either the lock icon on the Forms toolbar, or the Tools Protect
Document dialog.
