MS Word 2003, blinking insertion point became very small. How to to reset it
to be as tall as say the capital I? In all other application the insertion
point is tall. I have text services installed for Chinese but set the input
to US English for long but this size reduction of insertion happened only
yesterday.

Try switching to 500% Zoom and back.
