Default I can't go bigger than 22" in paper size, how do I do that?

I have a document that I am trying to print on a plotter. The paper size for
the plotter is 22" X 34". I try to adjust the "custom" paper size and it
will not let me go larger than 22". What do I need to do to be able to
change the paper height to 34".

You need to use a different program. Word will not print larger that 22"
under any circumstances.
