Laptop? Touchpad? Keep your thumbs off it!

.... Or if not a laptop, do you perhaps have an optical mouse (one that emits
a light beam from its 'belly')? If so make sure you are using it on a smooth, solid-color surface. Otherwise the reflected beam is misdirected by teh sightest irregularity & causes the pointer to behave erratically. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "new2" wrote in message ... Suzanne - wow i think you may have something there. I'm new to laptops and i
suppose i could be grazing it occassionally, especially since i can't get the jumping to happen intentionally - good call, thanks "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Laptop? Touchpad? Bob - Thanks for the suggestion - I do have an optical but its on a good
surface. I'll first see if the touchpad is the culprit. "CyberTaz" wrote: .... Or if not a laptop, do you perhaps have an optical mouse (one that emits a light beam from its 'belly')? It's comforting (?) to see that some problems are universal. g
