They aren't printable; they're there just to show you the edges of the cells of the table while you're editing. When you switch to Print Preview, it shows only what will print, and that doesn't include the gridlines. You could use the Format Borders & Shading dialog to turn on the table's printable borders, and those would show in Print Preview. But you don't really want the printer laying ink along the edges of the labels, do you? G'Day Kimba,
Anything you can see in Print preview (including any type of border or frame) will print on your printer - and that's not usually what you want. I don't know how you are creating the labels, but any (table) border or frame in the template will show ONLY in Print Layout view. -- Regards, Pat Garard Melbourne, Australia _______________________ "kimba" wrote in message ... on word 2k3 am unable to print preview anything with labels, just the text itself but not the text boundaries or something square around them i already tryed everything on toolsoptionsprint tags the same for view and general tag options. oh yes this program is updated almost dialy. any idea i'll appreciate that very much... thanksssss |

Not true. Table gridlines are displayed in both Normal and Print Layout
view. Even if gridlines are turned off, "text boundaries," if enabled, will be displayed in Print Layout view. Actual borders will be displayed in any view. -- Suzanne S.
