Slow Keyboard Response When Saving
I encountered this problem about three years ago, but I have not been
able to find the post that contained the solution. The default location to save files for Word 2000 is on a shared network drive. Whenever we start typing the file name to save the file, the keyboard response is slow in that it takes a second or more for a typed key to appear in the filename box. The problem, as I recall, related to Word trying to scan the folder to see if that filename was already there, and a cache or something had to be cleaned or disabled to eliminate the problem. Does anyone know? The problem is very annoying. |
