How do I make Word stop recognizing every single space I take or indention I
make when I am typing a document?

If you mean you want Word to stop displaying hidden formatting commands
(though knowledge of their use can be very helpful when laying out a
document) click the ¶ button or CTRL+* to toggle the display.See also
