How? fix the size of a box in table so it doesn't move with text
I am trying to make a report form as a table with boxes to be typed in that
do not change size with text added, but only allow a certain amount of text? Is there a way to do this? I have Word 2003 |

Yes. Insert Form Fields into the table cells. Right-click the FF and select
Properties. Here you can control the input, type and maximum characters. To test the FF doesn't exceed the cell, fill it will 8888s and see how many characters it will fit. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Fairways School" Fairways wrote in message ... This won't prevent users from pressing Enter and increasing the depth of the
cell, though. To do that, you can either code the Enter key to behave like Tab (requires a macro) or just set an exact height on the row, which doesn't prevent excess content but does prevent distortion. -- Suzanne S. If you do want to Code the ENTER Key to Move to Next Field in a Protected
Form, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211219 -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
