tablets and word
I may have posted in wrong group earlier. I'm not sure, but here's my
question: I'm new to tablets and am considering purchasing one. Is vista the best os for a tablet? Will handwriting that is input on a tablet automatically be transcribed into text in a "Word" or excell document without any additional program installed other than MS Office Small Business 2007? -- Thanks for your help! Yes. One of the raison d'ĂȘtres of a Tablet is so that you can write on the
screen and the Tablet converts it to text. Vista certainly is newer, more secure and has more features, but it requires a better processor, more memory and better graphics than the XP equivalent. On balance, I would be reluctant to buy a new PC of any type with an 'old' OS. But if you are not familiar with Vista, I suggest you see if you can try a Tablet with Vista before committing yourself. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "muddywater" wrote in message ...
