Savind a 2007 Word Document in HTML
Is Word still adding all the junk into the HTML document or is the HTML now
clean. I am going to want to perseve my formatting. Basically, I have word documents that I want to keep as word documents but want to be able to save as HTML. If Word does not do a clean save to HTML are there other tools to use? |

Savind a 2007 Word Document in HTML
Hi Bev -
I'm afraid you can't have it both ways :-) The "junk" you are concerned about is what makes the file 'round-tripable' (MHTML). If you're an experienced web author you may want to look into saving as Web Page (Filtered), which strips out the additional tags (although formatting & general appearance should remain intact). You'll do well to hold on to a copy of the original .doc for future revisions to be resaved as filtered HTML. Concensus of opiniion, however, is that Word is far from the best web-authoring tool. Whether its sufficient for your needs is a determination you'll have to make for yourself. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "Bev" wrote in message ...
