How to insert mergefield with CTRL F9
I might be stupid - but I can't insert a merefield with CTRL + F9 (don't
wanna use the menu). This is what i'm doing in a doc i press CTRL + F9 and 2 brackets apear in the brackets i write DATE ( and end up with { DATE } ) when i press alt+F9 to se the date nothing is displayed. ctrl+f9 again and { DATE } apears. What am I doing wrong? Thanks |

Before you press Alt-F9, select the field and press F9 to execute it.

Or right click on filed and select 'update field'
