Word 2000 document corupt when opened with word XP (only when tables are in the 2000 doc)
Is there a fix a patch. Every time I open a word 2000 doc (with a table in
the doc)with word XP - I get a corupt message. It only happens when a table has been made in 2000. IF there are no tables in the 2000 doc.,XP opens it fine. I've tried open and repair to no avail. Any help Thank you |

Check the compatibility tab, and make sure that the document is set
for Word XP. (Tools, Options, Compatibility) Most of the options in the compatibility tab cause some weird things to happen, so unchecking them could help. Unfortunately, compatibility options are on a document by document basis. Alternatively, is the table coming from the same Word 2000 machine? You might check to see if it's installation is corrupted. Ask whoever, to perform a detect and repair, and make sure that both machines are at the latest and greatest service level. -- Dawn Crosier Microsoft MVP "Education Lasts a Lifetime" This message is posted to a newsgroup.
