Default Word 2007: Letter and envelopes

Dear all,
if you use word 2007 the letter wizard together with contacts from outlook
2007, the letter required the following informations: Title, First name and
last name...and so on. These infos are already entered in outlook. But when
in the letter the request for the greeting line format opened - there are
different possibilities. If i am choosing the Greetingline: Dear Sir and
Madam and if i then enter inside the format: Mr. Randall (example)
The program should made a: Dear Mr. Randall out of it. And it is working but
not together with outlook contacts. Why. Instead of a Dear Mr.....the program
entered the position of the person like:
Dear Manager Randall.....and i am not able to change it. Has anyone an idea?

There are no 'wizards' with Word 2007?
It sounds as though you are using the default address fields to insert data.
See the section on Inserting addresses from Outlook at

I am sorry, but this actualy did not help me. I tried to change it, but
without success.
When i am retrieving adresses for a letter from Outlook, the adresses are
ok...(without the the personal Title) but exactly this personal title i need
to enter inside the greeting like...dear Mr....or dear Mrs....and this did
not work. Any idea?
Please?

Your problem appears to be associated with the fact that you are using the
Letter wizard, which was removed from Word 2007 and which does not appear to
be as configurable as you require. You can remove the unwanted information
from the dialog and it will be retained for next time, but the insertion of
data is associated with autotext which has been radically revised in Word
2007 and therefore may not give you the results you need.

The link I posted earlier demonstrates how to use vba to insert and place
Outlook information in your letterhead.
