Default How can I fix my word to get the control menu working?

Alt F does not work. Is something just turned off? I tried reinstalling
office 2000 and I am still not able to edit or even print in word with out
doing a Cntrl P.

Sounds like perhaps a corrupt normal.dot? Steps to troubleshooting Word:
