Default variables in WORD

For lack of a better word, are variables possible in a WORD doc? What I'd
like to do is have a table cell asking for COMPANY NAME. When that's filled
out, I would like the variable in the contractual statement at the bottom of
the page reflect that company name. Is this possible? How's it done?

Likely, a cell cannot be transposed into the contractual agreement. But
possibly a text block of some sort?

thanks!

See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/StyleRef.htm for one method,
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Repeating_Data.htm for others. If a value is saved
as a document property, it can be inserted anywhere using a DOCPROPERTY
field.
