Maybe that's what it's "supposed" to do. Word is a piece of crap, BTW. Use
OpenOffice of Worperfect or something else that works. "Jason" wrote: When I have Word open, but no Word document open, Word closes. It does not give me an error message Word just disapears. -- Please Help |

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=555169 "Word Quits
Unexpectedly When Selecting a Document from the Windows Taskbar". Jason wrote: When I have Word open, but no Word document open, Word closes. It does not give me an error message Word just disapears. |

In , BillyOHill
told us an interesting story. My reply to this story is at the bottom of this message. Maybe that's what it's "supposed" to do. Word is a piece of crap, BTW. Use OpenOffice of Worperfect or something else that works. This is NOT the way we should promote OpenOffice. Yes, OpenOffice is better in some ways and no, it is not THE ultimate Office suite. The only correct way to promote OpenOffice is to mention it when Word really has no alternative for a certain feature. Examples: * someone needs a word processor, doesn't have money, and doesn't qualify for a cheap license * integrated pdf creation * cleaner html pages * portability to platforms other than pc/windows * ... Please, be polite or STFU. -- Amedee Van Gasse |
