Default 2007 Templates to use in earlier versions of word

Is there any way to convert a template created in Word 2007 to work on
earlier versions of Word? If not is there a way to create a template in 2007
that will work?

Thanks

Did you try doing a Save As Word 97-2003 template?

It won't work if you have used Word 2007 content controls, but there again
you didn't say the template was a form!
If it is a form for use in earlier versions you need form fields from the
legacy palette - http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Classic%20Form%20Controls.htm
makes things easier.
