Default Word 2000 to Word 2003 Conversion

Some users that I support are having problems opening Word 2000 documents in
Word 2003. A few moments after the document is opened the documents shifts
creating a large blank space on the right hand side of the document. The
margins and the font size don't change but this big blank space is created.
I haven't been able to figure out how to prevent or correct this. Any
thoughts? Thanks!
