suppress blank fields in template
I have a letter template with fields such as recipient name, and several
address fields. The problem is that if the user leaves any of these fields empty, a blank line is inserted in the document, in this address section. Is there a way for these fields to be automatically deleted from the document, once the template is assembled. Thank you, Alicia |

suppress blank fields in template
I assume that you are talking about formfields as used in a protected
document. I would not use that type of field in a letter template. Better to use a UserForm and then construct the address block from the data entered into the userform. See the article "How to create a Userform" at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userforms/CreateAUserForm.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "Alicia" wrote in message ...
