Default I cannot remove a watermark form the whole document.

The document doesn't seem to "realise" there's a watermartk in it, so
doensn't remove it (except for the first couple of pages). Any ideas?

Likely, it's been placed in multiple locations. Open the document, go to
View--Header and Footer. Hit the Show Next button until you see the
watermark again, select it and delete it, hit Show Next again... until
you've deleted all of them.

Hi Anne,

It's not in the header, it's right across the document. But thanks anyway

Steve: Many watermarks are placed in the header, but actually appear and
print in the "body" of the page itself. Don't discount my instructions until
you try it, k?

A watermark is simply a graphic anchored to the header paragraph and set to
"Behind Text"; it can appear anywhere on the page.

Steve: Suzanne is right. In that case, however, they can sometimes be hard
to grab. Get the Selector tool from the Drawing toolbar and see if you can
"pick it up" by clicking on it right on the page instead of in the header.
But if it appears on multiple pages, I think it's in the header. This may
help you find the tool:
