1. If you are not trying to exactly match a particular font, the easiest
way is to use Insert Symbol. Select Arial Unicode and Enclosed Alphanumerics from Character Set. Assure that the applet is set for Unicode (hex) in the lower right listbox. The Arial Unicode font is not installed during a default install. You might have to run the Office/Word installer and elect a custom install to install the font. 2. Agfa Monotype and others have other fonts with enclosed characters. 3. Use the Enclose Characters facility of Word. To place that icon on the toolbar, right click just under the top bar in a clear area and select Customize. Select All commands. Scroll down. Select the appropriate icon and drag it to the toolbar. Luc and Mike make suggestions worth checking. Let us know. Tom MSMVP Windows Shell/User "Fay Yocum" wrote in message ... : Is there a way to place a circle around an uppercase letter?
