Save it with a .dot file extension in your templates folder.

I knew I did not phrase that correctly when I sent it! Thanks! Here's the
deal. I have a word document, a volunteer application using tables. I would
like for the user to be able to enter data requested by using the tab key to
go from field to field and at the same time, not altering the fromat. Make
sense? Thanks for your help!

Use Save As under the File menu and change the type to a Word template. For
more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog, and
locations of templates folders see

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles.

Hope this helps,
