Default How to insert a guide in MS Word 2007?

I've been looking everyone to insert a guide in MS Word and nothing
shows up. I've tried the help and nothing helpful. I've tried Google
and nothing. I've tried searching this forum and nothing. So how do I
insert the darn guide in MS Word?

I'm picturing a tour guide struggling against the gigantic hand that trying
to stuff her into a document. I'd fight too. ;-)

Word is a word processing program. Sounds like you're trying to use it for
something like desktop publishing. If that's the case, use Publisher
instead. Otherwise use drawing items, align whatever, delete the lines.

If anyone uses Adobe's product such as Photoshop that would know what
I'm talking about but in this case, by guide I mean a line(s) that the
user can add to his/her document to help him/her align objects or texts
in a document. This guide will not print and it is only there in the
document to help the user align texts or other elements.

Display the Drawing toolbar. On the Draw menu, select Grid. Check the box
for "Show gridlines on screen."

Is that what the grid is for? I was curious what the heck it was.
