To change the header you'll need to insert a section break, and then unlink
the header from that of the previous section. You can then edit the two headers separately. Footers will still be linked (unless you explicitly unlink them too). For more on headers and footers, see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "suchan" wrote: i got a document of 25 pages but i need to put differnt header |

You can change the header footer at a section break and vary this with the
settings available in page setup. If you want to retain the footer after a section break where the header changes, copy and paste the footer from the previous section. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org suchan wrote: i got a document of 25 pages but i need to put differnt header |

If the difference is due to different Headings, try StyleRef field. With this
field there is no need for Section Breaks and the changes are updated automatically. If more of a change is required, then Section Breaks as Stefan and Graham have indicated will be required. Hope this helps DeanH "suchan" wrote: i got a document of 25 pages but i need to put differnt header |
