Hi;

PrintDate Field does not update when doc is printed, it stays with
( 0/0/0000 0:00:00 AM ).

I checked all areas of the Word Options, for updating fields with no resolve.

I did follow the Save Document,after printing the document to update yet
same results of 0/0/0000 0:00:00 AM each time.

What did I miss that would correct this?

Are you sure that you have not either locked the field or unlinked it
(Shift+F9 or Ctrl+Shift+F9)? Try inserting it again and make sure that
under the PrintOptions dialog that the Update Fields box is checked.

Neither to your response, locked field nor unlinked field. I did try to
delete the field then re-inserted with same result 0/0/0000 0:00:00 AM

And yes in PrintOptions update fields is checked..

Sorry, but I cannot replicate the problem even if the Update Fields box is
unchecked under the PrintOptions dialog.

Thanks Doug

I resolved to inserting the document into a new Document and PrintDate
updates fine.

Also InsertObjectText from File works...

My question is: Is there anyway to check the documents source file to see
whats turned on/off? Perhaps a glitch with the original file causes the
error..
