Default To view a file's size by the number of pages?

Word 2003 in the Open file dialog box. Right click title bar, choose more
from the drop down list and select pages. I am unable to get it to show
more than 1 for the number of pages in a large file?

Apparently the document property that contains the page information
isn't updated until you open the document, go to File Properties
Statistics, and then save the document.
