Default How do I print labels from a table

I have a simple table in word containing only one long column with many rows.
I want to print the table on labels so that each cell is printed on a
different label. Mail merge seems to be too complicated for this simple
procedure. What is the simplest and best way to do this? I use Office 2003
and windows XP.

Mail merge would probably be simpler than the alternative, which would be to
convert the table to text, then back to a table with the appropriate number
of columns and then to make the rows the required Exact height for the
labels.
