how does one turn off MSFT's @#$%&* auto correct feature on WORD?
MSFT "explanations" aren't; too many words, not enough clear straight-forward
steps with images to follow & do 1,2,3 Now all I want to do is disable the "automatic corrections" feature in MSFT's WORD. Short of using a firefighter's axe on the machine please suggest how to disable this feature. Thanks |

Uncheck all the checkboxes on the AutoCorrect tab (the first one). Uncheck all the checkboxes on the AutoFormat As You Type tab (the second one). Click OK. If you don't like to read words, you probably won't care for http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...AutoFormat.htm either, but it's helpful. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
