merging hyperlink fields from excel to Word 2007
I am trying to help someone who has over 200 records of information in Excel
2007 which includes date fields and hyperlink fields and is merging to a directory in Word 2007. I was able to get the date formatting to merge correctly using the confirm file conversion on open, but the hyperlinks do not appear as a hyperlink after the merge. I tried using the information in http://support.microsoft.com/default/aspx/kb/912679 but it didn't work correctly. I also tried importing the Excel data into Access and change the field to hyperlink field type, but that didn't merge with a hyperlink field either. Any suggestions? |

If you execute the merge to a new document and then use Alt+F9 to toggle on
the display of field codes, do the hyperlink fields then appear? -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. I was able to get them to appear once along with the word Hyperlink. But when
I tried doing it again to show her it didn't work. She just decided go to each occurrence (over 100 of them) and press the space bar afterward. It was a one time thing so she thought it easier to do that than waste a lot of time trying to get the other way to work.
