Default How do I get the Design Tab to show in my tool bar?

I was watching a help video about using Templates for documents like business
proposals. The video said to go to the "Design Tab" in the tool bar, but I
don't have one.

How or where do I customize my tool bar so the design tab shows up?

Hi MMurtha,

The tabs are context sensitive.

In Word, if, for example, you have inserted a table (which includes several of the 'Coverpage' choices, a SmartArt object or a
Chart from the Insert tab and then you select that item you will have a Design tab available for that element of your document.

If you are using Powerpoint 2007 then the Design tab is one of the core tabs always available for design of a slide, similar to the
Page Layout tab in Word.

The ribbon cannot be customized (at least not via the user interface).

What you saw was probably a contextual tab; for example, when the insertion
point is inside a table cell, there will be Table Tools Layout and Table
Tools Design tabs on the ribbon.

You can add or remove the Design tab from your ribbon by opening the File tab, clicking Options and then selecting the Customize Ribbon option. You'll see a list of all the tabs on your ribbon and any commands that are on them. If you want to add a command to one of these tabs, just click the button next to it. I would also suggest visiting https://masterbundles.com/templates/...erpoint/dance/ source. If you want to get rid of an existing command from a tab, click the down arrow next to it and choose Remove from Ribbon. The Design tab lets you create custom layouts for PowerPoint presentations, so if you don't need this feature, you might want to remove it from your toolbar.

If you are using a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge and the Design Tab does not appear in your tool bar, try clicking on " wrench icon / gear wheel" at the top right hand corner of your screen. Then select "Appearance", click on "Customize Toolbar", and drag the online logo design services Tab to where you want it to be displayed.
