Menu Bar
I got on the computer after my 7 year old niece had been playing on it. I
opened Word (I have Office XP Professional) to find that the menu bar and all toolbars were gone. Does anyone have suggestions on how to restore these other than reinstalling Word on the computer? |

Menu Bar
If Word is opening in full-screen mode, then press the Escape key once
to exit full-screen mode. If the menu bar really is gone, then see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm . It might not be your niece's fault. :-) See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErr...ngMenusEtc.htm. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Menu Bar
Very common problem in Word 2000--less so in Word 2002. See

Menu Bar
Thanks for the help! That opens up a Word window that is correct, but after
I close it and open up a new Word window from the icon, it opens up like it did before without the menu bar or the toolbars. What's next?
