Default Unable to rotate Excel object pasted into Word

I am creating a report in which I have inserted an Excel document, but the
Excel sheet is in landscape format. When I paste it into the Word report,
(which is in portrait layout), the Excel object just falls off the edge of
the page. I have tried every text wrap setting to try to enable the "rotate
picture" function, but it's greyed out for every option. How can I rotate
the Excel spreadsheet?
